Star Map — AI Night Sky App

What it is

Star Map is a mobile app that generates personalised star map posters — the kind you get as a gift to commemorate a special date and place. You enter a date and location, and the app renders the night sky exactly as it appeared at that moment.

What’s being built

The core rendering engine produces accurate star maps using real astronomical data. Each map includes constellation lines, major stars, and the exact positions of celestial bodies for the given coordinates and time.

AI descriptions via Google Gemini add a personalised narrative to each map — a short, meaningful text that describes what was happening in the sky on that date. Not generic copy, but something contextual to the astronomical events of that specific moment.

Monetisation is handled through:

• AdMob for ad-supported free tier
• RevenueCat for subscription and one-time purchase management
